Here’s what no one tells you about Lake Nakuru

So a couple of weeks ago, I went down to Nakuru with my family to visit an aunt of mine and we took the opportunity to sight see. I had been to Nakuru a couple times but I hadn’t fully appreciated the beauty of the region. I don’t know about you, but I hardly ever make local travel plans not because there aren’t amazing places to visit but because I totally take Kenya as a travel destination for granted.

Karen Blixen Museum

If you are from Nairobi and or  live in Nairobi, chances are that you are quite acquainted with the affluent suburbs of Karen. But do you know that Karen is named after world renowned author and artist Karen Blixen. Karen Blixen relocated with her husband Baron Blixen in the early 1900’s left a mark in Kenya, more so Karen where she lived for almost two decades. I spent an afternoon with my friend Sally at the Karen Blixen house in Karen and enjoyed a the beautiful home and the amazing scenery that this beautiful house rest from the leafy green environs but a small section of the Ngong Hills.

Why you should go to Giraffe Centre today

For most of us; the fondest memory we have of Giraffe Centre is probably in pre-school. Allow me to take you back to when this was the dopest adventure as a 5 or 6 year old. Well, I don’t know about you, I never quite understood the significance of Giraffe Centre until about a few years ago. The amazing job that they do each day to conserve the environment and particularly the endangered Rothschild giraffe.
